evacuation

May 21, 2008 by mhutek-The first thing I would take would be my pets. which is my dog Max, and my cats Jinx and Nemo. Max is my best friend, I have known him for eight years. When I don’t feel good or at home alone, he is always there for me. I don’t know what I would do without him. I love my cats for the same reasons, when I need a friend Jinx and Nemo are there for me.
-The second thing I would take is the blanket that my grandma made for me. I would take it because I have had for almost 15 years and it helps remind me of my grandma, because shes not here anymore and I would want something to remember her by.
-The third thing I would take would be my books. I would take them, because my books are a big part of me, because I love to read. When I was little and me, my mom, and my sisters moved out, we had no cable or a computer. So most of the time I read. To this day after 8 or 9 years of reading I know that I wouldn’t be able to survive without books.
Pepon Osorio
May 20, 2008 by mhutekPepon Osorio was born in Santurce, puerto Rico, in 1955.He is best known for his installations. He Uses wood, glas, pexiglas, frabic, metal, and plastic to create different kinds of art. Also he uses the suvenirs that he has collected from the places he has traveld to. Many believe that sometimes his Art work is flamboyent, because sometimes he uses cheap toys and plastis instead of wood or glass. He is a very talented artist because he creates very unique art and not many people can do that.
One of my favorite peices of him is “100% Boricua”, 1991. I enjoy this peice not just because its unique, but what it stands for. From my understanding the peice is filled with so many meanings. Some of them are family history like culture, religion, and beliefs. Also filled with hope, dreams, and goals. I think this piece mostly represents the way people live and how they live, and maybe how they see the world.
Some of the learning ideas that I have gained from his artwork is the diffeent ways to create unique art. 1.)Those ways are to create art by what you feel, not see. Or maybe what you want to see. 2.) Also using the ways people live, not just the ways, but why, and how they live. Most of all there beliefs to structure art.
ways to create emotion for an object

2.) you can use different lighting when taking a photo so you can create a cheerful mood or a depressing mood.
3.) you can use the different angles of the object your a picture of like for example if your taking a picture of a tree, instead of taking a picture of the tree itself, take the picture of its sahadow to get a different mood.

February 26, 2008 by mhutek1.) I think they create motion by giving the characters different images. They also gave their drawings life by adding movement and letting them express themselves. I think they also created motion by sounds and different attitudes towards the characters. Also by creating this motion they made it seem that these annimated characters were real people.
2.) I think they choose annimations instead of real people because maybe with annimations they could create characters with real emotions, that real people couldn’t capture through acting.
